de Tuin

The de Tuin project is a collaboration with artist, musician and mental-health advocate Leigh de Vries. Initiated in 2020 during the global Covid pandemic, the project evolves out of an online dialogue through visuals and shared areas of interest . Working with short text peices, projections and ideas around the body and sculpture, the project plays with ideas of growth & change during a period of containment - the Dutch for garden (de Tuin) as a play on the english detain of lockdown.

Our work combines de Vries’ drawings and projections of her text work with the human form, playing with what drawing and writing is in space, and using lines drawn with string and text projected on the body.

Works have recently explored the interaction with de Vries’ large scale typrographical elements as part of her ongoing It’s OK to Feel Things project.
